Year 11 will be sitting their mock exams in the sports hall from Monday 7th December until Thursday 18th December.
Below is a summary of the arrangements – be aware that thereĀ is a knock on effect upon year 10 (lunchtime social space) and year 8 (entrance to the academy). Please do email me if you have any questions.
– If you are a year 11 LC, teacher of year 11, a member of ELT or have a lunchtime duty in the sports hall, then it is likely that you have been asked to help with line up or dismissal: Please check the timetable (found here) to find when you’re involved and email Olivia Smith if your availability is an issue.
– Year 11 will arrive at 8:40am at the main student entrance. They will line up in coaching groups as for previous years. The first exam each day involves the whole year group, except for on Friday 11th and Thursday 17th, when there are approximately 40 students who will go to coaching and period 1 and 2 as normal.
– To allow year 11 to line up at the student entrance in the morning, for the duration of the mocks, year 8 will arrive and depart from the academy via the entrance on Upcerne Road usually used by year 11.
– AfterĀ the morningĀ exam, students will have their break in FfT/the outdoor area by student services.
– As the sports hall is being used for exams, year 10’s break and lunchtime space will be the 2nd floor roof terrace for the duration of the mocks.
– Line up for the second exam of the day will be at 11:10am. This is generally an options exam. If a student is not sitting their exam, they will go to their normal lesson during period 3 and 4 and will work in this lesson as normal (rather than revising for mocks in other subjects). The exception is if the student has already sat the mock in that subject, in which case they may revise for other subjects at the teacher’s discretion.
– Year 11 students will be dismissed from site at the end of period 4 (or at the end of the 2nd exam). Lunch will not be served to year 11 students although provision will be made for FSM students.
– There are a handful of students who have an exam clash so will have to stay after lunch to sit an exam.
– Year 10 will sit an RE mock exam on the afternoon of Thursday 10th December
