Please let us know here if you would like to attend (or are thinking of it!) so that we can cater accordingly. Thank you
‘Safety-net’ arrangements for the summer 2019 examination series are as follows:
GCSE Combined Science
The ‘safety-net’ grade 3-3 awarded in 2018 (Higher Tier) will no longer apply. Students sitting the Higher Tier who fail to meet the requirements of a 4-3 will therefore receive an Unclassified result.
GCSE MFL
Students sitting Higher Tier will be awarded a ‘safety net’ grade 3, set at half-width. This is a change from 2018 where the grade 3 was set at full-width, following consultation with Ofqual during the 2018 awarding process.
GCSE Maths
Students sitting Higher Tier will be awarded a ‘safety net’ grade 3 as per 2017 and 2018 examination series. There are no changes regarding the awarding of this grade in 2019.
For further guidance on the award of ‘safety-net’ grades, please refer to the Ofqual announcement.
We are looking to increase our lovely team of exam invigilators for the busy summer season. Please could you share this with your group of friends, relatives, neighbours etc.
The advert is up on the Chelsea Academy website. Closing date is 31st March.
If you need further details pls email/talk to OSH.
Thank you.
Please provide your feedback on Monday’s INSET Day here.

Each Week I will be sharing some digital news, stats, tips and tricks with you about our digital learning platforms.
The first message this week though is please, please set all pieces of IL through smarthomework. This is policy but when we are analysing individual teacher stats, staff are not setting the amount they should be. By the end of November last year we had set 4000 pieces of IL. This year we have currently set 2600. I will be working with CLs in the coming weeks to do a detailed analysis but until then, GET YOU IL ON SMARTHOMEWORK!
This week there are also a couple tips and tricks for you to look at. The video is 30 seconds long so have a look!
