You may well see mice around but please be assured that Pest Control were on site this week and are returning on Monday.  All remedial actions that Pest Control advise have been carried out by the Site Team and deep cleaning took place in key areas during this half term.

However, the mice are more visible on our return to the Academy because during half term there is a lack of available food so only then do they start to take the baited-trap food but this will take a few days to have an effect.

To create an inhospitable environment in your work spaces, please ensure:

  • No food is kept in opened/unopened packets in your under-desk storage units (pedestals).
  • Any food you have is kept in rigid plastic or metal containers with a strong lid.
  • Your floor space is kept clear and free of hiding places they can make use of.
  • Notify Site Team of food/drink spills so that we can act promptly to maintain a clean site.
  • Continue to report sightings to site.team so that we can compile this information to target pest control in identified trouble spots.

Unfortunately, methods for controlling mice are quite limited by law now which means that acceptable methods to control them become more challenging when many processed foods contain antidotes to the permitted poisons.  If we work together, this will help to control them.

Thank you for your support.
